CEREC Same-Visit Crowns & Bridges

Yes! We Can Create Crowns in the Same Day!

Traditional lab-created crowns have been a staple of dentistry for decades. But advances in technology now allow us to fabricate Same day crowns | Mill Creek WAbeautiful, durable crowns during just one visit to our office.

CEREC is a process for creating crowns that begins with digital photos and x-rays of your teeth. This information is shared with CAD/CAM technology that designs a perfect 3-D model of your new crown. We make any necessary modifications, then sends the specifications to a milling machine that creates your new crown from a block of ceramic material.

How long does the Process Take?

The process usually takes a couple of hours from start to finish, after which time you will leave our office with your brand new finished crown. No additional appointments, no multiple injections, no temporaries, and no two-week wait! During your time with us, we invite you to sit back and listen to your favorite music or watch your a favorite TV show.

General Dentistry

dental cleanings | mill creek dental health careYour semi-annual cleanings are part of an overall preventive program to keep your teeth healthy. At Mill Creek Dental Health Care, we customize each patient's oral health treatment plan based on their unique needs.

The purpose of a cleaning is to get rid of the plaque and tartar that collect on your teeth. While your toothbrush can eliminate most plaque, tartar can only be genuinely cleaned by a hygienist using specialized instruments.

If your mouth is generally healthy or you have early onset of periodontal disease (gingivitis), routine dental cleaning at our Mill Creek dentist office is usually enough to protect your dental health. However, more advanced cases of periodontal disease may require a deep cleaning treatment called scaling or root planing.

What Happens During a Dental Cleaning?

During this procedure, your hygienist gently scrapes away all plaque and tartar on the surface of your teeth and below the gum line. She then smooths the root surfaces of your teeth to help the gum reattach to the tooth.

We are also pleased to offer our patients the option of laser dental cleanings. The procedure is fast and comfortable and provides quicker recovery times. If you are interested in laser cleaning, please talk to your hygienist to learn more.

If you haven't had a dental cleaning in a while, or you would like to learn more about our dental procedures, please call our Mill Creek, WA dentist office today!

Man at Dentist | Oral Cancer Screening Mill Creek WA

According to the Oral Cancer Foundation, roughly 53,000 people will be newly diagnosed with oral cancer in 2019. The statistics show that these numbers will not be going down, and many patients diagnosed today are not expected to survive beyond five years.

As scary as these numbers are, oral cancer does not have to be fatal. The unfortunate truth is that most oral cancer diagnoses are discovered too late for adequate treatment. Our Mill Creek patients can radically improve their odds by maintaining regular dental cleanings and exams, where Dr. Cirtaut can keep track of any unusual changes or growths.

Oral cancer screening is routine and painless. During your regular dental cleaning, you can go over any unusual pain or problems in your mouth or jaw. Your dentist will go over your oral history while visually and manually examining your jawline, soft tissue, and neck area.

Oral Cancer Screening Technology

Not all signs of cancer can be viewed or felt, even by highly-skilled professionals. At Mill Creek Dental Health Care, we incorporate the use of VELscope, which emits a green light that highlights the natural fluorescence within the soft tissues of your mouth. Any abnormalities will be detected, and your dentist will examine your teeth and gums further.

If you haven’t had an oral cancer screening recently, please call Mill Creek Dental Health Care to schedule an oral screening appointment.
